Dashboards to Monitor Commercial Traffic into Gaza

The ongoing crisis in Gaza has disrupted trade flows, supply chains, and market stability. With the suspension of formal coordination mechanisms, accurate monitoring of commercial traffic has become increasingly critical. Since 2024, the Gaza Chamber of Commerce has been tracking prices, market conditions, and goods movement to support humanitarian and private sector needs.

Objectives
The project, supported by UNSCO, aims to establish a centralized digital database for monitoring commercial crossings and market prices. It will provide reliable, real-time data to humanitarian actors, policymakers, and private sector associations.

Components

  • Development of a bilingual database and system architecture.

  • Dashboards for crossing activity, market prices, and trade analysis.

  • User roles and access management for secure data handling.

  • Training for the Chamber’s data team and private sector staff.

  • Ongoing technical support and a final operational handover.

Impact
A robust monitoring system enabling evidence-based decisions, transparency, and stronger private sector capacity in Gaza.

The system and dashboard were developed in a JV between RAI Consult and Lelel 5 Group, in Gaza, in August 2025.
