Endline Study on Menstrual Hygiene Management in Emergency Settings

This endline assessment, conducted by RAI Consult with Oxfam and partners (Juzoor and Aisha Associations), evaluated the impact of introducing innovative reusable menstrual hygiene products (Reemi kits) during Gaza’s ongoing crisis, in July 2025. The study combined 400 beneficiary surveys, 3 focus group discussions, and 7 key informant interviews, ensuring robust evidence under highly constrained conditions.

Findings revealed very high adoption (99%), strong satisfaction (97%), and improved awareness and confidence (86%) among women and girls. The assessment highlighted both positive health, social, and economic outcomes, as well as persistent challenges such as water scarcity, privacy, and stigma.

The study outputs include a comprehensive comparative analysis (baseline vs. endline), user feedback on product effectiveness, and recommendations for mainstreaming MHM into humanitarian response, strengthening WASH services, and supporting local production for sustainability.
