Rapid Multi-Sectoral Needs Assessment (RMSNA) – Gaza Strip
In response to the ongoing war and its humanitarian consequences, a Rapid Multi-Sectoral Needs Assessment (RMSNA)conducted to provide a comprehensive analysis of the urgent needs in the Gaza Strip. This assessment was designed to inform targeted interventions across five critical sectors: Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH), shelter, Health, Protection, and Food Security.
Project Objectives
The RMSNA aimed to:
- Consolidate Existing Data: Review and analyze reports from UN agencies, humanitarian organizations, and other sources to ensure a well-rounded understanding of the crisis.
- Validate and Cross-Reference Findings: Engage with relevant clusters and stakeholders to verify data accuracy and enhance situational awareness.
- Assess Critical Humanitarian Needs: Evaluate the current status of WASH, Shelters, Health, Protection, and Food Security, identifying the most pressing challenges.
- Identify Priority Interventions: Determine the most urgent response actions based on current needs, operational constraints, and available resources.
- Develop Strategic Response Recommendations: Outline key directions to enhance the effectiveness and coordination of humanitarian efforts.
This assessment serves as a vital tool in ensuring that humanitarian responses in Gaza are data-driven, well-coordinated, and impactful, addressing the most immediate and critical needs of affected communities.
